Editorial Layout

For this class project I was given an article from “How Stuff Works.com”. I was then tasked with turning the website article into a magazine spread with photographs and original visual elements. I decided to create my own spot illustrations for the article. Then I chose a red backdrop with stars to give the feeling of a circus tent. While this project was just for class I learned a lot about working with both spot illustrations and layout design.
